Description

Well, I have promised to upload all the stuffs I have done in the first year of my college study, but for some reason I keep forgetting to do it. Heck, this one actually had been the cover pic for my College Works gallery without it being actually uploaded....okay, lemme just fix it now.

Okay. This pic.. Features Stan, a lumberjack from a village where a certain evil tree queen has turned humans into vegetables to avenge her minions which was cut off by the humans. Thus, Stan revenges back by bringing her down once for all, hence that cheesy title.

Anyways, moral of the story, revenge always backfires no matter whether you're the good guy or not. This guy, too, when he thought he has got it finished, wouldn't expect tons of vines sprouting from the mud underneath him, binding his cool lumberjack boots and wrap and crawl all around his body and start to suck on....

And look, I drew a half-naked girl. Surprised? Don't be.

Anyways, Stan and his awesome rifle-saw and the evil tree queen are my characters, though I don't know if I'll ever use them again later in the future.

STILL DO NOT STEAL.

Firstly, the short story in the description makes the picture that much more interesting. The story is conveyed quite well through the picture so good job there.

The colors on the image are nice and pop but don't overwhelm the viewer by being overly vibrant or bright. There's a good mix of cool and warm colors that makes the image balanced. However, I think there could have stood to be a few more splashes of green, while it's balanced it's not as good as it could be and the amount of warm browns really throws it off.

The motion of the image is good and convey's an action feeling, the same can be said for angling and posing.

The only thing that doesn't flow properly with the motion is the queen's bangs and that's something you just have to keep an eye on, I know artists try to avoid this a lot but her bangs should be more in her face following the motion the rest of her hair is going so keep an eye on that for future images.

One of my favorite things about this image is actually the shine on the lumberjack's pendant, it serves as a focal point and centers the image.

Rather more, all the effects, like shines and sparks, were done quite nicely and I really have no pointers for them.

Your female anatomy could use some work, mainly around the tummy area. Really all in all this is quite good and I don't have much to hit on in the negatives besides those minor mistakes here and there. Good job!
